Time flies …. as of today, I have shot over 50 weddings, and I don’t remember how many e-sessions

I know for sure that wedding photography is something that I want to pursue seriously.  It’s so much fun, it does not feel like work, and I love it so much.

Maxy and Jerry had a huge wedding – attended by 900 guests … wow … It was one of the most incredible weddings I have ever witnessed, it’s so wonderful and beautiful.  I captured so many shots at this wedding, and I was struggling to narrow down the photographs for this blog.  I think these 125 pictures are less than 5% of the total photographs … … yes, there are plenty of them.

I would like to thank Maxy and Jerry for trusting me to capture one of their most important moments in life. Not only that, they also referred me to so many of their family and friends, and I have booked multiple weddings because of them.  I am grateful, and I’m honored to be part of your amazing wedding.

During meeting consultation, I present some of my work like albums, prints, canvases. Then we also talk about the wedding plans, needs, costs, etc.

Booking Process

Booking is based on first come first serve, whoever signs the contract and sends the retainer (25%). I can hold the date temporarily for 5 working days pending on contract signing, and sending a retainer.

I used to inform potential clients when I receive another inquiry on the same date, however it’s quite troublesome and I decided not to do that anymore. To simplify the tracking process, I will only keep track of bookings, but not inquiries.

E-Session

I usually shoot e-session in the evening during weekdays and weekends. Please pick a few dates when you are available, and we will monitor the weather forecast.

I am open to any locations for e-session, and I can also give my recommendations.

You are welcome to wear any type of outfits for e-session; it is recommended that the color of both you and your fiancé’s outfits are similar in color. Light color outfit matches well with light color as well, but it may not work the best with dark color outfit, and vice versa.

It is recommended to wear or bring comfortable shoes, as most of the time we will have to walk a little bit.

Make sure that you get enough rest before the session, and ready to have fun date with your fiancé ?

Wedding Day

We will get in touch around two weeks before the wedding date to discuss the wedding itinerary; I may have some suggestions/feedbacks related to photography.

I usually suggest to do groom’s getting ready shoot before bride’s getting ready shoot.

Groom’s getting ready takes about an hour, and bride’s getting ready takes about two hours.

Please have the wedding invitation, rings, accessories, shoes, dress, etc. ready for pictures, as I will take pictures of them during the getting ready shoot.

If there are any restrictions at the ceremony site, please let me know ahead of time.

List of formal shots (usually taken after the ceremony) of family and wedding party usually helps, as we want to ensure that nobody is left out. Formal shots usually take about 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the number of shots

I usually need about 1.5 to 2 hours to take artistic pictures in between ceremony and reception.

If dinner is not served for vendor, please inform me ahead of time so that I can bring my own meal/snacks.

Wedding Album

It is not necessary to finalize the wedding album options (size, number of pages, cover selection, font option, layout, etc.) before the wedding.

We will work on wedding album after the wedding, once all wedding images have been edited.

I usually offer two wedding album selection, we talk about this during our initial consultation.

After your wedding images are ready, you can start picking up the images for your album.  Depending on the size of the album, usually two images can be fit on one side of album, plus you can pick around 10-20% extra images for backup.

Once you pick the images, please copy them to a CD/DVD/Flash Drive, and mail it to me.  I also need the information about the album size and the number of sides.  I will then forward the images to the album designer who will start designing your wedding album.

You have unlimited number of corrections you can make to your album design.  However, I limit the total design time to 3 months only.  The album designer works very hard and promptly to your design corrections, so the total design time of 3 months should be more than enough.

Once you finalize the album design, I will then forward the files to the album company for printing.  It usually takes up to 8 weeks to print, however often it takes faster than that.

Once I receive your final wedding album, I will schedule a time to deliver the final product to you.

Note: Wedding album pricing may change every year, as wedding album companies often adjust their pricing yearly.  This is something beyond my control and I also have to adjust the new pricing.
